The ethos of the Strathallan House is to accommodate, in
a therapeutic and loving environment, individuals with a broad base of
need.
The range of need is summarized below:
-
Physically frail or disabled persons requiring 24 hour care
and supervision from carers trained in areas of personal care, mobility,
continence and catheter care, nutrition and pressure care.
-
Individuals requiring 24 hour supervision, observation and
support due to varying stages of dementia or mental illness.
-
Long stay mentally ill persons who need support and
supervision yet can continue to maintain and improve their quality of life
when in a therapeutic environment.
-
A further group of people emanating form the community, who
would previously have been directed to EMI or nursing homes would be referred
