The accommodation at Strathallan House comprises 25
bedrooms, 22 of which are single
and 3 of which are double sized rooms, and
with passenger and chair lifts from the ground to the upper floor. Where
requested, Strathallan House can accommodate couples wishing to reside
together and share a companion room. All rooms are luxuriously fully
furnished, however residents are encouraged as far as possible to bring
their own personal items and possessions to create a more personalised
environment.
Within the Home there are a number of communal areas for
relaxation, activities or to sit with visitors, family or house friends.
There are 3 large separate lounge areas, individually and tastefully
decorated with stunning views over the village and the grounds. The dining
room is situated between the living areas and is often the focus of the
social function.
Strathallan House further benefits from a wide range of
specialist aids and equipment which allows us to service the needs of a
diverse range of clients. Where the case arises that a client requires
equipment that the Home does not currently have then an assessment will be
made and it will be determined whether or not we can acquire such equipment.
In all cases it is important to the Company that the client’s interest is
placed first and foremost on the agenda.
Much of the maintaining of this equipment is carried out
by qualified, sub-contracted personnel, all of whom carry the relevant
training and certification.
The Home employs Domestic staff who are responsible for
the cleaning and general domestic duties within the Home. The home also
employs a Handyman who is responsible for the day to day maintenance and
upkeep of the Building.
The property is centrally heated by electrical radiators,
while the Homes hot water supply is heated by an oil fuelled boiler. The
property is well ventilated with large Victorian styled windows and wide
open spaces.
The Home has carefully designed fire precautions and
procedures, all meeting the relevant standards ensuring the safety of the
residents is maximised.
Strathallan House benefits from its own Leyland Daf
mini-bus, which is equipped with a chair lift and accommodates disabled
passengers. This transport services all the needs of our day care clients
and is used for outings and activities that we regularly organise.
